No.3 Account, which is the Indian Police Family Remit- tances Account showed a balance of 811,439.33 on 30th November, 1919. This account was 86,351.22 short. This amount represents deductions made from Indian Police pay not paid in to No.3 Account. from No.2 Account (Persona] Encluments).

See Credit side Voucher 20 The Accountent was in charge of the Canteen accounts and received a monthly allowance for this work. The daily takings were paid over to him and he signed for them. He paid the bills of the Canteen. At the end of November, the sums in his hands amounted to 1,887.13. He paid out $200.95. He took the balance when he absconded. This amount has not yet been refunded to the Canteen but can be paid out of the advance of $15,000 made to me after Chan Pui absconded if His Excellency so directs.
